So here goes my debut in the Twitter World.

I struggled for a day or so about whether I should attempt to insert myself into this world of instant communication married with celebrity called Twitter. I considered whether it was an exercise of vanity to think oneself so important that anyone would need or want to know what I am doing more quickly than a call or text would inform.

And then I had a "eureka" moment of sorts.

Why do we care anything about most of the people who are celebrities anyway?

Because they give us some type of distraction, something else to consider, something else to love, loathe, abhor, covet, excite...

Someone is going to take that spot in our lives and why can't it be me?

Seriously, I think it is a fascinating concept for people to be able to interface with so many people and I look forward to this new venture.
